Round Trip vs One-Way: When Each Makes Sense

Trip type is one of the most important toggles on the booking form. Round-trip and one-way are not just labels—they change billable distance, driver day shape, and when the van is free again.

Choose round-trip when the same group returns

Family day trips, event drop-and-return, and many airport same-day patterns fit round-trip. The quote includes return travel from drop-off back toward pick-up logic used in billing. That usually matches how guests actually travel.

Choose one-way when the destination is the end

Relocations, one-direction airport runs, or drop-offs where guests continue differently can be one-way. The passenger trip may end at the destination, but operations still account for the van’s next availability after return-to-base and grace time behind the scenes.

Questions that clarify the toggle

• Will the same passengers need the van home the same day?
• Is the drop-off a hotel stay with no return ride?
• Do you need waiting time at the destination?
• Is there a hard event or flight deadline on either end?

Avoid mixing assumptions in the notes

If you select one-way but write “please wait three hours and bring us back,” say so clearly—or switch to round-trip / describe waiting needs in notes so review can price and schedule correctly.

Use the booking form toggle deliberately, then add notes for wait time or split parties. Estimates update with the route; confirmation still follows admin review.
